Job Description: Our Client is seeking a motivated and adaptable Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of construction projects from design through to completion. The role involves working closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to a high standard of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with project delivery and manage small works projects independently Support and monitor Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site Attend regular site meetings with clients and other professionals Prepare reports, programmes, progress updates, and profitability reports Price and agree instructions with clients or their agents Contribute to valuations and final accounts Assist with tender preparation and estimates Procure, negotiate with, and monitor subcontractors and suppliers Support procurement of new clients Produce monthly reports including cost/value comparisons and turnover forecasts Attend financial and progress meetings Support site teams to optimise contract resources Maintain exceptional customer care standards Use company systems and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project Requirements Construction-related qualification such as BSc Construction Management, HNC, or HND (preferred but not essential) Experience as an Assistant Project Manager or within project management in the construction industry Good knowledge of construction processes Experience with commercial and design-and-build projects beneficial Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills Ability to read and understand drawings Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools Self-motivated with a proactive attitude Full UK driving licence (minimum 6 months post-test experience) Willingness to undertake training and professional development Preferred Certifications SMSTS or SSSTS (desired but not required) Schedule Monday to Thursday: 07:45 17:15 Friday: 07:45 16:45 42 hours per week Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required Benefits Competitive salary Company vehicle with fuel card or grey fleet allowance Corporate clothing Employee profit share scheme 21 days holiday plus bank holidays Additional holiday entitlement after 2 years service Early Friday finishes Departmental bonuses and long service awards Health and wellbeing support Ongoing training and career progression Social events and charity initiatives Supportive and professional working environment Additional Information Enhanced DBS check required (including Childrens and Adults Barred List) Additional vetting may be required in line with client requirements Equal opportunities employer Investors in People accredited
