Electrical Supervisor – HMP Downview
Location: HMP Downview – SM2 5PD
Salary: £49,275.42
Contract: Permanent Full Time – 39 hours per week
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Supervisor you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues – from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners and Administrators – who are dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.
You will help keep the self‑contained facility functioning smoothly, supervising staff, ensuring all electrical work meets safety and regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall safe operation of the prison.

Qualifications
* Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services
* Experience of supervising staff
* Full driving licence preferably with D1
* C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
* Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition)
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
