We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the Permanent appointment of a Senior Finance Officer. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £42,771.00 - £45,750.00 per annum
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for leading on specific service menu items and delivering to a high standard the full menu of finance service activities for the assigned team
* Proactively develop skills, understanding and abilities in delivering finance services.
* Take ownership of specific finance processes to ensure all officers are appropriately trained able to carry out these processes in a consistent and efficient manner
* Proactively coach and develop and quality assure the work of others on how best to deliver the service menu, standards and performance indicators, driving a step change in team productivity.
* Deal professionally and effectively with all contacts from a wide range of people, including senior management where appropriate, using tact and discretion, assessing needs and re-directing enquiries, where appropriate.
Knowledge Required:
* Excellent understanding and experience of working within Finance-related roles
* Council processes and working practices
* Demonstrable experience of working within a finance related role in a local authority
Skills and Experience:
* Experience of leading change / efficiency initiatives
* Working within a finance related role in a local authority environment delivering high quality services
* Excellent communication skills and experience including working with senior stakeholders
* Excellent IT/technical skills, knowledge
* Proactive development of skills and knowledge
* Highly numerate and literate
