Overview
Dental Care Professional (DCP) Manager - Oral Health Directorate role at NHS Scotland, based with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This is a full-time permanent position (37 hours) working Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:45.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced dental care professional to join the Operational Management Team within Glasgow Dental Hospital. The post holder will be accountable to the Operational Governance Manager and will coordinate staff hygienists and dental nursing staff to ensure a high standard of care for all patient groups.
The post holder will work with the Operational Governance Manager to develop and monitor governance issues and service improvement activities. This will involve multidisciplinary audit, planning, implementation and evaluation, and negotiation with key stakeholders. The post holder will support action planning and development required to improve the quality of care across Oral Health in Secondary Care. They will play a key role in developing an improved career structure and effective succession planning for the dental nursing and staff hygienist teams.
The role also involves supporting the Oral Health Directorate team in developing a culture of improved performance, driving forward service improvements and reviewing progress against key objectives. The post holder will work with multidisciplinary colleagues to improve patient outcomes and resource utilisation.
