Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and their families? At Steps to Success Day Treatment, we are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker. In this role you will be a part of our team which provides mental health services and wrap around support to young people aged 10-14 struggling with mental and behavioral challenges.
Make a Difference Every Day:
* Support group therapy sessions through activity development, facilitation, and individualized participant assistance.
* Assist with case management for program youth and their families to align treatment goals and provide care coordination.
* Develop strengths-based treatment plans, track progress, and document care in a timely manner.
* Participate in ongoing professional development including training, team meetings, and agency wide committee activities.
What We’re Looking For:
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
* A minimum of one year of experience or formal education related to working with youth who have severe emotion disturbance or mental illness.
* A commitment to providing inclusive, trauma-informed care – which recognizes the impact of trauma and emphasizes safety, empowerment and collaboration — and fostering resilience in youth and families.
* Starting payrate $21-$25 per hour, depending on factors such as years of experience working with youth with emotional or behavioral challenges, bilingual language skills (Spanish), and education level (a master’s degree may qualify for a higher starting salary).
