Accounting Practice Manager
Salary: £50,000-£60,000
Location: Reading (1 day WFH after probation)

About the Firm
A growing, modern accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounting Practice Manager to lead its team, maintain high technical standards and support continued expansion.
The Role
A senior, client-facing position overseeing day-to-day operations, team performance and technical quality. You'll manage staff, review work, streamline processes and guide clients on complex accounting and tax matters. This role offers real influence in shaping how the practice grows.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team
* Review and sign off accounts, corporation tax, VAT, self-assessment and bookkeeping
* Ensure technical accuracy and adherence to best practice
* Allocate workflow, monitor deadlines and uphold quality
* Support clients through advisory meetings and technical queries
* Drive process improvements across the practice
* Oversee cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling where needed
* Contribute to strategic planning and operational development
Required Skills & Experience
* Fully qualified ACA/ACCA
* Significant practice experience
* Strong technical skills in accounts prep, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping, self-assessment, cashflow forecasting, budgeting and modelling
* Proven leadership and team management experience
* Confident communicator with client-facing experience
* Highly organised with a proactive, improvement-driven approach
