An opportunity has arisen within the CLD Youth Services Team for a Community Education Worker. The position is fixed-term until March 2026. You will support specific communities and projects, planning, organizing, and delivering Youth Services to young people across West Lothian who have or are at risk of disengaging from education. The role focuses on early intervention and providing sustained, comprehensive support, including a fully integrated professional service to improve young people's chances of leaving school for positive destinations and to foster conditions for sustainable economic growth in West Lothian.
This position is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal employment offer is made by West Lothian Council.
