NPD Process Technologist

We're excited to be supporting a leading food manufacturer in their search for an NPD Process Technologist to join their fast-paced and innovative NPD team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a process-driven professional who is passionate about bringing great food to market, ensuring products are factory ready, commercially viable and compliant to the highest technical standards.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of the launch process, bridging the gap between concept and factory to make sure products are not only creative, but also deliverable, efficient and loved by both customers and consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead NPD and EPD launches from concept handover to full-scale production, ensuring products are delivered on time, right first time, and aligned to customer expectations.
Act as a subject matter expert in process development, collaborating closely with operations across all sites to ensure products are efficient, scalable and factory ready.
Organise and run factory trials for new products, packaging and value engineering initiatives, ensuring compliance, quality, and margin retention at every stage.
Partner with customers and commercial teams, presenting trial outcomes, advising on factory capabilities, and ensuring smooth communication from development to launch.
Champion food safety and compliance, contributing as a HACCP team member, finalising QAS, and ensuring products meet BRC, retailer codes of practice, and legal standards.
Maintain technical documentation, including BOM accuracy, shelf-life validation, artwork approval, SAP codes, and brandbank management to keep launches audit-ready.
Drive continuous improvement projects, from ingredient and process optimisation to efficiency and waste reduction, supporting sustainability and value engineering initiatives.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with NPD, technical, commercial, and packaging teams to deliver innovative yet practical solutions across all sites.
Oversee pre- and post-launch reviews, gathering feedback, closing out actions, and embedding learnings into future projects to strengthen the launch process.
Be the voice of process expertise, representing NPD in customer meetings, internal panels, and cross-functional teams to ensure fit-for-purpose, consumer-led products.
