Job Description:

Hybrid, London - City

Full time, Fixed Term

Our mission

The overarching purpose of the Chartered Insurance Institute (‘the Institute’) is to educate and support our members to deliver services to the highest professional standards and to advocate for the public good. By doing this the Institute builds and maintains public trust in the insurance, financial planning, and mortgage advice professions.

Our vision

Our vision is that CII and PFS professionals build a world which delivers ever greater financial resilience for individuals and societies more broadly.

Your role

As part of the Membership Team, you’ll lead the development and delivery of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme—ensuring it remains relevant, high-quality, and valued by professionals across the financial services sector. You’ll work closely with partners and a dedicated network of regional volunteers to shape a learning experience that reflects the evolving needs of the profession.

This is a varied and rewarding role, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll collaborate with external panels to curate content for a wide range of roles, support pro-bono initiatives that help members give back, and use data to guide decisions that enhance member value. At its heart, this role is about building meaningful connections and creating opportunities for professional growth.

You

* Enjoy shaping meaningful learning experiences that support professional growth.
* Think strategically, but stay grounded in practical delivery.
* Take pride in creating value for members and the wider profession.
* Are motivated by purpose-driven work that makes a real impact.
* Are comfortable navigating input from multiple sources and shaping it into a clear, purposeful plan.
* Take initiative and enjoy seeing ideas through from concept to delivery.

In addition to a market-benchmarked base salary, here are some of the benefits you can expect from CII as a valued colleague:

* 10% non-contributory pension
* 30 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
* Life assurance
* Modern office space located in 20 Fenchurch Street (Walkie-Talkie) with free Sky Garden access and discounts
