Job description
The role of the Integration Enterprise Architect is to develop the UK Firm's integration & DevOps technology strategy, communicate this to the business, and translate this into a roadmap that determines our investment priorities and transformation portfolio.
The integration strategy should promote a seamless, end-to-end customer and employee experience by enabling the efficient creation and modification of reusable integration components, emphasizing modern, Cloud-based technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and supporting typical integration use cases.
The architect will help articulate, execute, and govern the strategy, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and conform to standards. Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of integration platforms, building roadmaps, and governing technology choices.
Core knowledge
* Maintain high-level knowledge of current, emerging, and future technology trends and their impact on the business.
* Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain expert knowledge of KPMG's technology ecosystem, including main applications and technologies related to integration.
Roadmaps & solutions
* Build and maintain integration & DevOps technology roadmaps and architecture.
* Create and update artefacts using architecture tools like ARIS and Alfabet.
* Align roadmaps with overall strategies and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into feasible technical solutions.
* Ensure designs adhere to standards, patterns, and leverage reusable components.
* Influence stakeholders to adopt appropriate technology solutions.
* Chair and support the Data & Integration Design Authority (DIDA).
Technology Governance
* Participate in technology assurance processes, enforce standards, and support decommissioning of legacy systems.
* Support the selection and use of enterprise architecture tools to accelerate initiatives.
Essential skills - Integration
* Expertise in Azure Integration Services (AIS) and related technologies.
* Knowledge of DevOps & IaC tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Azure Bicep/ARM, and Azure Policy.
* Familiarity with other cloud-based integration platforms such as AWS, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica.
* Understanding of security aspects in integration and cloud environments.
* Experience with integration architectures, API management, service buses, adapters, ETL, and data models.
* Ability to create integration patterns and use architecture tooling.
* Monitoring, alerting, and automation in integration contexts.
* Significant experience leading integration platform implementations and design authority roles.

* Stakeholder management and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies.
* Understanding of business analysis techniques.
* General technical knowledge and awareness of technology trends.

Desirable skills
* Knowledge of Business Architecture and related models.
* Experience leading offshore teams.
* Understanding of GDPR and ISO 27001 standards.
* Qualifications in ITIL and TOGAF.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
