Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in restaurant operations. This role involves assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in team management, staff training, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the daily management of restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
* Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving procedures to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Oversee food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Manage inventory levels, including food production and supplies, to optimise efficiency and reduce waste.
* Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop menus that reflect culinary trends and customer preferences.
* Provide leadership to the team, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
* Assist in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
* Strong supervisory experience with proven team management skills.
* Culinary experience or formal training in food preparation is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Experience in serving or barista roles is an advantage.
* Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
