The post holder will receive, dispense, and hand out prescriptions, dispense inpatient and outpatient medications, and provide other support services to the Pharmacy department. This includes receiving orders, storage, supply of pharmaceuticals, controlled drugs, and ward top-ups.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Communication:
* Pharmacy reception duties: receiving prescriptions from outpatients, ward staff, and other clients; taking payments; forwarding prescriptions for dispensing.
* Identify, resolve, or refer prescription queries at point of reception.

* Restock medications, ensuring stock rotation.
* Maintain a clean working environment.
* Dispense inpatient and discharge prescriptions within the pharmacy and on wards using mobile trolleys.
2. Additional Responsibilities:
* Answer telephone enquiries, resolve or refer as necessary.
* Hand out completed prescriptions with appropriate counselling under supervision.
* Arrange medication deliveries to patients' homes under instruction, including labelling, sealing, contacting patients, and record-keeping.
