Job Overview
As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised care to individuals in their own homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is skilled in various aspects of caregiving and is committed to delivering high‑quality support to those in need.
We are in need of drivers to support us in our Morning and Tuck runs and various other areas. Drivers preferred.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
* Provide patient care and support for individuals with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments and various other disabilities.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
* Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote emotional well‑being.
* Support mobility by assisting with walking and transferring when necessary.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
* Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
* Support clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Experience
* Experience in care at home and care environments.
* Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and first aid practices.
* Previous roles involving caregiving, home care, or childcare are advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. This position requires a compassionate individual who is willing to go above and beyond to ensure the well‑being of those they care for while adhering to professional standards of practice.
