Electrical Design Manager

Turner Lovell are recruiting for an Electrical Design Manager to join a major UK renewable energy development project, delivered as part of the country's Net Zero and energy infrastructure transition. Our client is a leading engineering and construction organisation delivering innovative and technically complex projects across the UK's power and energy sectors.
This role will suit an experienced electrical design leader who thrives on managing multidisciplinary teams, driving design assurance, and ensuring safe, sustainable, and buildable design outcomes. You'll play a pivotal role through pre-construction and delivery, coordinating with TSO & DNO's, design partners, and site teams to deliver a technically assured and value-driven design.
Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design management process from concept through to handover.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and programme alignment.
Interface with clients, design consultants, and construction teams to deliver safe and innovative solutions.
Manage design risks, assurance processes, and statutory compliance across all design stages.
Drive digital design, sustainability, and continuous improvement in alignment with modern design strategies and practices.
Requirements:
Chartered Electrical Engineer (or equivalent experience).
Proven track record managing electrical design delivery on major power infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of design optimisation, assurance, and digital delivery.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
