Title: Assistant Psychologist
Location: City of Wolverhampton Council
Salary: £30,024 - £33,699 (Grade 5)
Hours: 37 per week
Contract type: Full time, fixed term contract for 12 months
Responsibilities
* Implement a whole school development project focused on wellbeing, inclusion, and trauma‑informed approaches – facilitating focus groups, walk‑throughs, surveys, and supporting whole‑school training and development planning cycles.
* Deliver early targeted intervention to individual or groups of children and young people in schools (e.g., Lego Building Group, GRASP, Managing Exam & Work Related Anxiety, Circle of Friends, and EBSNA intervention).
* Provide support to vulnerable children and young people through partnerships with Power 2, Virtual School, and Youth Justice Service.
* Deliver statutory, core and traded services to schools.
* Develop and deliver training for schools, services, and parents/carers.
* Develop and deliver project work to support service development and Council priorities.

* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
