Your role
As Head of Networks and Communities, you will lead the strategic development and delivery of member engagement through volunteer networks and professional communities across the UK and internationally. Your focus will be on strengthening connectivity, enhancing satisfaction, and positioning the CII as the professional home for insurance and financial planning.
You will oversee a team of regional managers and community facilitators, driving initiatives that grow membership, foster collaboration, and deliver high-quality experiences. This includes shaping strategies for local institutes and PFS regions, developing vibrant digital communities, and ensuring inclusive engagement for all members.
A key part of your role will be nurturing volunteer networks—building capability, supporting professional development, and creating a culture of pride and purpose. You will use data and member insights to continuously improve the offer, champion innovation, and deliver measurable value.
As a senior ambassador for the CII, you will represent the organisation externally, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and collaborate internally to align strategies and share best practices. Your leadership will ensure consistency, operational excellence, and a compelling membership proposition that inspires professionals to connect, learn, and grow.
