Demand Planning Analyst
We are looking for a self-driven, logical and analytical Demand Planning Analyst to join our dynamic fast-growing brand. This is an exciting new position reporting to the Planning Manager and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the role.
About the role
As the business continues to grow there is a need for a dedicated Demand Planning Analyst. The key responsibilities of this role will be:
Key responsibilities:
* The role contributes to all aspects of the product life cycle, from SKU and category planning, rolling up spend, through to getting stock delivered into our warehouse to clearing stock out of the business
* Provide weekly insight into stock and sales levels through various reporting tools
* Create and shape ongoing forecasts and challenge process where appropriate
* Prepare forecast data and stock buy details for sign off meetings
* Assist in planning stock levels across 3 territories
* Working with the production and procurement team to produce optimal buys, delivery splits and priorities, ensuring key lines are never out of stock
* Monitor promotional activities and highlight variances where they differ from the sales forecast
* Continue supporting development of stock systems and forecasting methods to continually improve accuracy across the business
What we’re looking for:
Must-haves
* Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
* A high level of Excel knowledge with the ability to analyse and manipulate data quickly and an attention to detail – SQL knowledge advantageous
* Proven working experience of stock management
* Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills
* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of the business affecting the forecast process
* Commercial acumen and the ability to interpret market trends
* Knowledge of end to end supply chain practices advantageous
* Inventory management
* Mathematical skills
* Organisational skills
