Employment Details
Salary: Ark Outside London Support Scale 1, Pay Point 2 (£23,723) pro rata – Actual salary: £6,394.97.
Contract type: Permanent.
Working pattern: Part‑time – 10 hours per week, 3:30pm to 6:30pm, 39 weeks per year plus five weeks during school holidays.
Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, staff areas, toilets and common spaces.
* Follow health and safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
* Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages or maintenance issues.
* Assist with additional duties as required, such as setting up for school events.
* Work independently within a dedicated area, ensuring high standards are met consistently.
Qualifications
* Experience of cleaning to a high standard, preferably in a school environment.
* Attention to detail and strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
* Availability to work weekdays 3:30pm – 6:30pm (exact times discussed at interview).
* Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver a high standard of work.
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Capacity to manage a high‑volume workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
* Independence and ability to follow instructions.
* Flexibility to cover other team members, including the second campus, when required.
