We are looking for compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join our friendly team in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Our service focuses on empowering adults with learning disabilities and encouraging them to lead independent and fulfilling lives, by recognizing and nurturing their strengths, abilities and personal resources.
The ideal candidate will be warm, empathetic, and motivated to make a positive impact on the lives of the people we support. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard towards the people we support.
Support Worker Duties
* Provide respectful person-centered care and support, tailored to each individuals' specific needs
* Promote an active and independent lifestyle
* Encourage the people we support to engage in community and maximize social opportunities.
* Develop warm and trusting relationships with the people we support, and work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals to ensure coordinated and consistent service.
