Structural Technician – Liverpool
Vertical Recruitment is working with an independent engineering consultancy with a Head Office in Liverpool and an additional office. They specialise in providing Civil and Structural Engineering solutions for projects across the UK, supporting all stages of property, construction, building, and infrastructure projects.

As a Structural Technician, you will join a growing team of skilled professionals working across a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, leisure, and education developments. You will play a key role in supporting engineers, producing high-quality technical drawings, and ensuring the efficient delivery of structural design packages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce accurate structural drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
* Assist engineers in preparing detailed design and technical drawing packages.
* Liaise and coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, and contractors.
* Contribute to BIM coordination and manage 3D models as required.
* Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, drawing standards, and QA procedures.
* Maintain and develop drawing standards and templates.
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team across various project types and sectors.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Structural Technician role.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (essential).
* Strong understanding of UK building structures and BIM processes.
* Experience in structural detailing for concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
* Demonstrable ability to produce GA and detailed drawings for residential and commercial projects.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
* Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
* Experience working within a BIM Level 2 environment.
* Knowledge of Civil 3D or other Autodesk software.
* HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a relevant discipline).
