A leading construction firm is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager for a Hospital/Healthcare Project in Halifax, with other locations also considered. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with construction procurement experience to work on major projects in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop procurement strategies, policies, and processes
2. Manage project procurement objectives and requirements
3. Support tendering, market analysis, and supplier selection
4. Provide market intelligence, cost advice, and supply chain performance management
5. Lead a team of procurement professionals
6. Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Essential Skills and Experience
* Negotiation skills
* Knowledge of legal and contracting law
* Risk and opportunity management
* Project procurement strategy development
* Supply chain planning
* Construction industry experience
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to deliver added value through procurement
Desirable Qualifications
* CIPS qualification or working towards it
* Chartership in CIOB or RICS
