The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Technician, with electrical and plumbing skills. You’ll take ownership of maintenance across our south region branches. In this varied, field-based role, you’ll keep our branch/ office facilities running safe and efficiently through delivering planned and reactive maintenance. With input into your own schedule, no two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, travel, and making a visible impact. Regional travel may include up to 2 overnight stays per week as required across West London, Bristol, Maidstone, Southampton, Exeter, and Cardiff, with the flexibility to occasionally support other facilities technicians in our central and northern regions. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across sites Maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Support branch upgrades, installations, and improvement projects Identify risks and suggest safety or efficiency improvements Work collaboratively with branch teams and support functions Complete compliance paperwork and update maintenance systems Assist colleagues on two-person tasks when required Liaise with external contractors during site works Keep work areas clean, safe, and compliant Provide technical support to the Facilities Coordinator and Head of Facilities Essential Skills/ Experience Qualified Electrician Strong plumbing and fitting skills Industrial or facilities maintenance experience Full UK Driving Licence essential Computer literate (Outlook, Teams, online systems) Good communication and organisational skills Desirable Skills/ Experience CompEx trained for ATEX electrical installations in DSEAR Zone 2 (Training can be provided for the right candidate) We are Safetykleen At Safetykleen, we provide essential parts cleaning, waste collection and environmental advisory services that help customers reduce their environmental footprint and boost operational performance.
