Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Electronic Engineer based in Roslin. As an Electronic Engineer at Cytomos, you will be responsible for To design, develop, test and maintain the electronic hardware of Cytomos products and be responsible for managing the electronic engineering aspects of the product life cycle in collaboration with interdependent disciplines, our suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Key responsibilities:

·Lead electronic hardware development from concept to market, including initial prototyping, ensuring market readiness in accordance with product development and technology roadmaps and regulatory requirements.

·Independently test and troubleshootelectronic hardware, proposing and implementing solutions for optimization and refinement, including the rollout of product updates.

·Manage and cultivate relationships with supporting consultants, manufacturers, and supply chain partners to meet agreed timescales and identify and mitigate challenges for electronic hardware development and manufacture.

·Act as a point of contact and expertise for product support escalation, to ensure our customers receive the best service possible.

·Develop, review, and finalizetest strategies, presentations, and reports for Cytomos electronic hardware.

·Support the development and the delivery of Cytomos silicon projects.

·Lead the implementation and development of Cytomos electronic hardware QC testing procedures.

·Ensure effective asset managementfor Cytomos electronic hardware, tracking stock levels and managing replenishment independently.

·Collaborate with suppliers to develop and maintain Cytomos products.

·Ensure compliancewith Cytomos’ policies, procedures, guidelines, and all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.

·Provide strategic feedbackto the Senior Manufacturing Manager to ensure that AuraCyt technology development meets agreed timelines and that challenges are identified and mitigated effectively.

·Identify and manage engineering tasksindependently to achieve objectives.

·Working to Quality Standards: ISO 9001:2015.

·Act as a role model, embracing and personifying company values: “We Care. We Pioneer. We Collaborate,” in full accordance with Cytomos' guidance and policies.

·Perform other duties and projectsas directed by your line manager.

KNOWLEDGE (& QUALIFICATIONS)

* Relevant degree in electronic engineering with 5 years industry or equivalent experience.
* Use of general 2D/3D TCAD software tools to do static or mixed-signal simulation

SKILLS

* Extensive knowledge of electronic PCB design and manufacture
* Proficient with analog and digital circuitry design & verification
* Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve electronic engineering problems and to make appropriate recommendations for improvement
* Proficient with version control software
* Ensuring Quality management is present in all aspects of work
* Clear verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated, ambitious and has a desire to develop existing and new engineering skills

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic engineering

Working to regulatory standards such as ISO / electrical safety standards

Bespoke electronic design & new product introduction & certification i.e. UKCA or CE marking.

* FPGA Verilog or other HDL
* Experience of RF circuits
* PCB Layout
* Experience in firmware development, including writing, testing, and debugging firmware for electronic hardware.
