Practice Manager – Nethertown Surgery
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Pension: Successful candidates will be auto‑enrolled in the NHS Pension Scheme.
Contract Type: Full‑time, permanent, in‑person role.
Position Summary
Nethertown Surgery is a friendly, supportive, and hardworking training practice in Dunfermline with a patient list of approximately 11,000. We provide GP and medical student training and serve a diverse population within commuting distance of Fife, Edinburgh, and Tayside. The role is based on site, with on‑site parking and short walk to the train station.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the practice’s business management, financial planning, and HR functions.
* Strategically manage the day‑to‑day running of the practice to ensure high‑quality patient care and maximised financial performance.
* Provide strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and support staff, including GP Partners, salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, and administrative staff.
* Collaborate with Practice Pharmacists, Mental Health Nurses, and Musculoskeletal Practitioners to maintain comprehensive support services.
* Engage in proactive management to maintain smooth operations and foster staff development.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in general practice management is desirable.
* Demonstrated business, financial, planning, and HR expertise.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development; further training opportunities available.
Anticipated Start Date
5 January 2026 (an earlier start may be considered to ensure a smooth transition).
