This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and well rounded Payroll Manager seeking an opportunity within a diverse and fast paced organisation.
Salary
* £45-48,000pa
Job Duties:
* Payroll Processing
* Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
* Reviewing the posting of monthly payroll journals and control account reconciliations and Payment of PAYE
* Supporting with and reporting on the administration of pension contributions, auto-enrolment and communications.
* Overseeing holiday, absence and sick pay and statutory sick pay calculations and deductions.
* Ensure the team are supported with all Tax Year-End procedures are run including P60's.
* Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including tax withholding and reporting.
* Lead and manage the payroll department staff, providing training, guidance, and support.
* Tax Filing and Reporting
* Payroll Audits
* Prepare and generate payroll reports for management, finance, and accounting departments.
* Contribute towards the strategic direction of the organisation through regular engagement with senior stakeholders
* Continuously assess payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Ideal experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Previous experience within a supervisory payroll position
* Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.
* Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, tax filings, and employee benefits.
* Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and management professionally.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
* Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
