Primary Teaching Assistant - Plymouth
Position: Temporary
Pay: £90 - £95 per day

Are you a proactive and patient educator looking for a rewarding role in a local school? We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team in Plymouth.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a supportive environment while making a real difference in the lives of young learners across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
The Role
Your primary focus will be supporting the class teacher and fostering a positive, engaging learning environment. You will be instrumental in providing targeted, one-to-one, and small-group support in core subjects, particularly literacy and numeracy.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Academic Support: Listening to children read and helping them develop essential reading and writing skills.
* SEN Support: Assisting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure they can access all learning activities.
* Classroom Management: Helping to manage behaviour, promote good conduct, and prepare classroom resources/displays.
* Pastoral Care: Providing emotional support to pupils and ensuring their well-being.
* Supervision: Working collaboratively with staff to supervise children during break times, lunchtimes, and on school trips.
