Regulatory solicitor

We are working with a tier-1 law firm based in Belfast for a Solicitor to join their Regulatory team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join a leading Regulatory and Professional Discipline team advising healthcare professionals, regulated individuals, public sector bodies and commercial organisations across a range of highly regulated sectors. The role involves representing clients in regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings, fitness to practise matters, statutory appeals and enforcement actions, while providing advice to protect professional standing and reputation.

Key responsibilities include preparing and defending cases before regulatory bodies and tribunals, advising on healthcare regulation, safeguarding and judicial review matters, conducting witness interviews, drafting statements and submissions, and providing guidance on data protection, freedom of information and the interpretation of regulatory legislation.

Essential Criteria:

• 1+ years’ PQE;
• Regulatory or public law experience desirable but not essential;
• Excellent academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Strong communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and as a team;
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
