The role
Were looking for an organised, proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of construction projects within the Major Programmes function at Manchester Airport. Youll work closely with senior project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, within budget, on time, and to the highest standard.
Working within a mini city across a range of disciplines will allow you to build all round project management knowledge. You will support in the planning, prioritisation and management of multiple projects, ensuring delivery as promised with minimal acceptable disruption to Airport operations. Key responsibilities include:
6. Assisting with daytoday project coordination, scheduling, and reporting
7. Supporting procurement of materials, subcontractors, and services
8. Monitoring progress on site and help resolve issues that could impact programme or budget
9. Maintaining project documentation, drawings, and compliance records
10. Contributing to risk assessments, method statements, and quality checks
11. Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams to keep communication clear and consistent
What will make you successful in the role?
We would like someone to join us who is enthusiastic, motivated to learn and eager develop your existing skills. Ideally, youll have previous experience within construction, project coordination or a related field, and a CSCS card (or willingness to obtain). You will have strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to interpret drawings and technical information.
