Hybrid - 2 days on site (Craigavon area) We're working with a large, well-established logistics business that's continuing to invest heavily in its in-house technology team. They're looking to hire a Senior Software Developer to join a small internal development function and play a key role in shaping how software supports the wider business. This is a permanent role, replacing a long-term contractor, and is very much about ownership, continuity and long-term improvement. The role This is a hands-on senior position where you'll be responsible not just for delivery, but also for guiding and supporting two junior developers day to day. You'll work across systems that genuinely run the business - from fleet and planning tools to internal and customer-facing platforms. There's a strong focus on improving automation and exploring practical AI use cases, rather than technology for technology's sake. What you'll be doing Designing, building and maintaining scalable, production-grade applications Working closely with the business to turn real operational problems into technical solutions Leading by example within the development team, mentoring and supporting two junior developers Owning integrations between systems using APIs and data interfaces Improving reliability, performance and data accuracy across core platforms Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices Acting as a senior point of reference within a small, collaborative team Tech environment You don't need to tick every box, but experience in most of the following is important: SQL Server / T-SQL JavaScript and TypeScript React or Angular Python (or similar backend language) Cloud platforms - AWS or Azure CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git) What they're looking for 5+ years' experience in software development A strong all-rounder who's comfortable across backend, frontend and data Someone confident stepping into a senior role and supporting junior engineers Practical, solutions-focused mindset Experience in logistics or operational systems is useful, but not essential Working pattern Hybrid setup with 2 days per week on site in the Craigavon area The on-site time is about collaboration, not micromanagement Why consider it?
