AWS Connect EngineerLocation: Nottingham (Hybrid 3 days per week onsite)Salary: Up to £85,000 + packageWe are seeking a hands-on AWS Connect Engineer to join a Customer Experience Technology team supporting the evolution of a modern cloud contact centre platform within a regulated financial services environment.This role sits at the heart of a major transformation programme, focused on delivering smarter, more secure, and more personalised customer interactions using Amazon Connect and AWS-native services.Role ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows and routing logic aligned to complex customer journeysDevelop and enhance AI-powered IVR, agent assist capabilities, and real-time analytics using AWS servicesIntegrate AWS Connect with core enterprise systems, CRM platforms, and external services using APIs and event-driven architecturesImplement secure, compliant workflows including authentication, call recording controls, and data protection mechanismsEnsure all solutions meet regulatory standards including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and financial services compliance requirementsBuild reporting and analytics solutions using Contact Lens and Connect Analytics for operational and regulatory insightSupport outbound communication campaigns in line with regulatory obligationsDevelop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation with strong governance and change controlParticipate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing and planningRequired ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with Amazon ConnectExperience working in regulated environments (financial services, fintech, or similar)Knowledge of contact centre architecture including IVR design, routing, and CCaaS platformsExperience integrating systems using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and REST APIsProficiency in Python or Node.js for serverless developmentUnderstanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and FCA requirementsExperience with Contact Lens or similar analytics and quality monitoring toolsExperience with Terraform or CloudFormation in production AWS environmentsDesirable ExperienceExposure to core banking or financial CRM systemsExperience with secure authentication and fraud prevention workflowsFamiliarity with compliance-driven contact centre operationsThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of cloud technology, customer experience, and regulated enterprise environments, with the ability to directly influence how customers engage with a major financial organisation.For more information or a confidential discussion, please get in touch.TPBN1_UKTJ
