Are you a commercial marketer with a sweet spot for ecommerce growth? Fitzbillies, Cambridge’s most iconic bakery and brand, is looking for a Marketing & Ecommerce Manager to lead our digital evolution and brand strategy.
This is a high-impact role that bridges the gap between our historic physical branches and our rapidly expanding online business. If you’re as comfortable analysing conversion rates as you are crafting a brand-led marketing plan, we want to hear from you.
The Role
Your mission is twofold: manage all aspects of the Fitzbillies brand across all channels and drive the profitable growth of our ecommerce business. You will be the architect of our digital storefront and the guardian of our brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce & Growth
* Financial Performance: Own the ecommerce P&L. You’ll be responsible for maximizing sales, managing budgets, and reporting weekly/monthly performance to the Managing Director.
* Sales Strategy: Develop and execute seasonal (Christmas, Easter, Gifting) and "evergreen" sales plans to ensure year-round growth.
* Website Leadership: Lead the Fitzbillies website strategy. You’ll ensure the site is optimized for UX and CRO, keeping it "fit for purpose" for both online shoppers and branch visitors.
* Fulfilment Oversight: You’ll line manage the successful day-to-day packing and customer service of ecommerce, as well as keeping the processes under review, ensuring efficiency and scouting new technologies to improve the customer journey.
Marketing & Brand Strategy
* Strategic Planning: Work directly with the Managing Director and owners to define the annual marketing strategy, underpinned by quantified objectives and clear KPIs.
* Omnichannel Management: Manage the brand across all touchpoints: retail branches, wholesale, corporate partnerships, and ecommerce.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small, dedicated team including an Ecommerce Assistant and a Content & Marketing Executive, while managing external freelance specialists.
