Based just outside of Hassocks, CG Electrical South Ltd is an electrical contractor working primarily on retail and commercial projects throughout the UK, occasionally working on more local domestic jobs and small works jobs.
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team as soon as possible, primarily based in our office with site visits and visits to clients also required. This will be a key position within the company, ensuring that projects run smoothly and to time.
Due to the nature of this role, the ideal candidate will be contactable on evenings and weekends by site teams. Travel around the UK should be expected.
Tasks and responsibilities associated with this role include but are not limited to:
* Tendering projects
* Managing projects including labour, materials, and budgets
* Monitoring procurement on projects
* Monitoring financial targets on projects
* Building and reviewing client relationships
* Reviewing projects, pricing variations, and monitoring timescales on delivery
* Working on documents such as RAMS, technical drawings and certificates
* Liaising with other team members including field staff, purchasing and admin
* Undertaking job specific training as well as health and safety training where necessary
* Working as part of the wider CG Electrical South team to ensure company targets and H&S duties are met
Skills required:
* Computer literate
* Good communication, both verbal and written
* Willing to learn and progress
* Proactive approach to problem-solving
* Able to work to deadlines
* Able to read technical drawings
Electrical background highly beneficial. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Salary range of between £40-£60k per annum. Pay to be discussed at interview stage dependent on experience. Target related bonuses set.
Expected office hours 7:30am - 5pm, however the successful candidate will need to be reachable outside of these hours.
Potential for hybrid work once probation passed - minimum 3 days a week in the office.
