Sous Chef
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support the smooth operation of our busy kitchen and banqueting services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure consistent and efficient running of food production.
* Manage stock effectively, including purchasing, storage, and waste control.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas.
* Support and mentor the kitchen team as required.
* Prepare dishes to specification, ensuring correct portion, temperature, and presentation.
* Oversee the arrangement and garnishing of food.
* Work effectively under pressure in a high-volume banqueting environment.
* Ensure full compliance with HACCP, COSHH, and other health & safety standards.
Essential Experience and Skills:
* Proven experience in a Sous Chef role within a similar environment.
* Strong catering background in comparable establishments.
* Reliable, professional, and able to maintain a positive temperament under pressure.
Benefits:
* Holiday: 30 days per year, including compensation for working bank holidays.
* Group Bonus: Profit share after two years.
* Health Insurance: Private healthcare for the individual after 12 months; family/dependants after three years.
* Pension: 3% of salary years one and two, rising to 7% after six years.
* Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.
