We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Hillingdon seeking a general teaching assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals hoping to build a career in education, psychology, youth work, or SEN support. Key responsibilities • Supporting students across Key Stages 3–5, including those with SEN and additional learning needs • Providing in-class support to help students access the curriculum, stay engaged, and develop confidence • Offering small group or one-to-one interventions under the guidance of the class teacher or SEN department • Assisting with classroom routines, behaviour management, and fostering a positive learning environment • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to tailor strategies that support student success Who we’re looking for • Someone who brings energy, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping students succeed • A team player who’s adaptable, proactive, and keen to learn • Ideally, some experience working with young people in an educational, pastoral, or SEN capacity • A graduate or aspiring teacher/therapist looking to gain valuable experience before further training is welcomed – but not essential This is a school that truly invests in its support staff, offering ongoing training, a welcoming team atmosphere, and the chance to work in a rewarding and varied role that makes a genuine difference.
