Lead Technician – Stoke HSSU Hub | Sterilisation Services | Permanent | Full time £26,866.94 per annum, dependent on experience 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday rotational shift week to week 06:00 am – 14:00 pm / 12:00 pm – 20:00 pm
Main duties
* Help lead a Team of HSSU Process Technicians.
* Assist in organising the workload to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Ensure that process equipment and accessories are in full working order and that all faults and anomalies are reported.
* Resolve issues/problems and escalated where necessary.
* Deal with customer queries.

Job responsibilities
Your work will involve the cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packaging and sterilisation of surgical instruments and will contribute to patient safety in both private and NHS hospitals.
Qualifications and Experience
* A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
* Evidence of previous sterile services training.
* Knowledge of endoscopes and their reprocessing.
* Attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service.
* Good communication skills, verbal and written, and basic computer literacy.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records/documentation in accordance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures.
* Ability to maintain a clean and tidy working environment whilst checking medical devices for cleanliness, functionality and damage, and taking action to rectify any problems and escalating issues where necessary.
* Ability to monitor stock issues as they arise and advise line manager when goods need to be re‑ordered.
* Enthusiasm and motivation.
