About the role
We are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children on a 1:1 basis in a welcoming primary school between Launceston and Okehampton.
The role involves helping pupils with SEND to access learning, build confidence and develop independence, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity: you’ll start the role through Teaching Personnel for a short period, before seamlessly transferring onto a direct school contract running until July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND.
Assist teachers in delivering and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to the class teacher and SENCO.
Supervise pupils during transitions, break times, and lunchtimes.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children with SEND (school-based preferred).
Holds GCSEs in Maths & English (C/4 or above).
TA qualification advantageous.
Is flexible, resilient, a good communicator and team player.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
