LOCATION: Office Base is London Broadcasting House
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £32,500 - £42,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Purpose
We are looking for a Digital Designer to join our dynamic and fast paced News Design team, this role would place you at the creative forefront of global news events for both broadcast and digital in a rapidly changing world, this unique position would enable you to use your talent and skills to enhance and augment global news content through fantastic, high-impact visual storytelling.

Key Responsabilities & Impact
* Creative thinker – Be a great creative thinker as well as a great designer who can work within a framework but isn’t afraid of taking risks.
* Driven – Have a passion to pursue and explore creative concepts autonomously as well as collaboratively.
* Adaptable – Creative concepts will need to work across a multitude of different formats from broadcast to social.
* Collaborative – Work directly with our motion designers to create and deploy digital designs across broadcast. Work directly with editors and journalists to gain a full understanding of requirements.
* Accountable – Regularly check in and work with the Creative Director on developing and delivering concepts primarily across digital platforms but also across broadcast.
* Deadlines – Ability to work against some occasional tight deadlines without compromising quality
Your Skills & Expereince
* Excellent knowledge of Figma
* Excellent knowledge of Creative cloud apps including Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong interest in exploring the use of new and emerging design tools.
* Good understanding of the use of AI within design methodologies and tools and how it can be applied
Desired But Not Required
* Experience with Adobe After Effects/Premiere
* Experience with light digital animation tools such as Lottie and/or Rive
* Experience with Canva
* Experience with Adobe Firefly, Runway, Midjourney
