We are working with the largest independent provider of mental health and adult social care in the UK. Offering excellent working facilities, you will be part of a compassionate team that is serious about personal development. You will work closely with the mutli-disciplinary teams to ensure patients receive holistic and person-centric care with tailored treatment plans, based on the recovery model. You will be working on a 10-bed low secure unit for young male and females, who are suffering from various mental health issues including self harm.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assume overall clinical responsibility for a defined caseload, including leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, conducting risk and strategic reviews, and fostering a safe and therapeutic care environment.
* Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983), ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
* Oversee referral and admission pathways, contributing to comprehensive pre-admission assessments alongside the wider team.
* Provide expert psychiatric input within a multidisciplinary framework to support the assessment, formulation, and treatment planning for young people.
* Participate actively in clinical governance and management forums, contributing to service development and strategic planning.
* Support education and workforce development through delivery of internal training and supervision, particularly for junior medical colleagues.
* Maintain continuing professional development and revalidation in line with Royal College of Psychiatrists and regulatory body requirements.
* Contribute to service evaluation and improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality, efficient care delivery and participation in on-call rotas as required.
Essential Criteria:
* GMC registered
* CCST/CCT (Or equivalent) in relevant field
* Experience working within an inpatient setting
* Strong interpersonal and sophisticated communication skills
* Willingness to train and learn
* Right to work in the UK
