Job Description
AJ Chambers represents a Top Boutique Law Firm based in Rayleigh who are seeking an Assistant/Paralegal to join the Residential Conveyancing department.
You will work in a friendly and busy department who are growing due to success.
The Role:
* Progressing the conveyancing process in an efficient, accurate and timely manner whilst adhering to legal requirements.
* Providing end to end administrative and clerical support on conveyancing transactions handled.
* Preparing and typing up legal documents and correspondence including bills of costs and completion statements.
* Working knowledge of Land Registry Direct system application forms.
* Dealing with enquiries from clients.
* Ensuring all documents and files are kept up to date.
Personal Specification:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in conveyancing, property law, and legal document preparation is essential
* Knowledge of relevant conveyancing software and tools
* Effective time management and organisational skills and the initiative to work independently, but also as part of a team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to building effective and trusting relations with people internally and externally to the firm.

* Hours - Full time, Mon-Fri, 9:00 - 5:15 (36.25h) or Part time (minimum of 25 hours per week) will be considered
