Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (M1 to UPS3)
Monarch Education are working in partnership with a supportive and forward‑thinking secondary school in South Gloucestershire (BS15), part of a respected multi‑academy trust, to recruit a committed and experienced Subject Leader of Design and Technology. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term opportunity to cover maternity leave.

The Role
As Subject Leader of Design and Technology, you will:
* Lead and develop the Design and Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Inspire and support pupils to achieve excellent outcomes in a practical and creative subject area
* Manage and support members of the department, fostering a collaborative culture
* Drive improvements in teaching, learning and assessment within the subject
* Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
* Contribute to whole‑school development and enrichment opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a candidate who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Has strong subject knowledge within Design and Technology
* Has experience of leading or supporting leadership within a department (or is ready to step up)
* Demonstrates a passion for teaching and curriculum development
* Has excellent organisational and communication skills
* Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for all students
