Support Worker
Salary: £24,206 to £24,601 per annum, depending on qualifications. Maximum full time job rate potential is £25,392 per annum, performance related.

Responsibilities
As a Break support worker you’ll be working hands-on day in day out with the young people living in the children’s home. The first twelve months will involve building relationships with the young people, supporting in our homes, planning and taking part in trips and activities, and learning new skills to help young people overcome communication difficulties. You’ll be an excellent team player who is warm, caring, calm and resilient to cope with the complex emotional and behavioural needs of the young people we support. You will work shifts based on a 4 week rolling rota, consisting of a mix of 7am-2.30pm, 2pm-9.30pm and a minimum of 2 sleep-ins a month. You will need to successfully complete an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare before you complete 24 months of Support Work. This will be fully funded by Break and you will be supported by our training team. A full, valid, manual driving licence is required.
