Main Duties:
This is a varied, hands-on Management Accountant role, which includes:
* Partner with budget holders and operational managers to improve cost control, financial understanding and value for money.
* Produce and interpret management accounts, KPI reporting and variance analysis to support commercial decision-making.
* Analyse fixed and variable costs, including staffing, overheads and project spend.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning, advising on the financial impact of decisions.
* Oversee job costing, WIP and project reporting to ensure costs are controlled and transparent.
* Monitor capital and growth-related spend against approved budgets.
* Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, payroll and balance sheet integrity.
* Drive improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.
* Support audit, external reporting and compliance requirements.
* Line manage and support junior finance team members and provide wider team cover as required.

This role is hybrid, with three days per week in the company’s modern Shrewsbury office, giving you the chance to work closely with a collaborative, supportive finance team. What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* Ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, though qualified by experience (QBE) candidates with strong management accounting experience are equally considered.
* Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret management accounts, KPIs and cost data to support decision-making.
* Comfortable working in a hands-on, growing SME environment, supporting operational teams and driving financial awareness.
