The Quantock Restaurant at Taunton College is a modern, realistic working environment (RWE) which comprises a training kitchen and 60 cover restaurant. The purpose, to prepare students for careers within the hospitality industry, integrating both theoretical and technical delivery fulfilling requirements of various qualifications. Salary: £32.13 - £36.29 per class contact hour
We are seeking an individual to support the development of the Catering and Hospitality provision due to the increase of student numbers and the diverse range of activities created by the existing teams. We are predominantly looking for someone who has experience within a customer facing role within the hospitality industry.
Part of the role will include responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the Quantock Restaurant throughout the varied opening hours, this will include regular evenings on a weekly basis. The candidate will also provide an outstanding learning experience for all students whilst maintaining an exceptional dining experience for our restaurant guests.
They will support the existing team in the planning and running of the sessions in the Quantock Restaurant, recent experience within a professional environment and a broad understanding and knowledge of the wider industry is highly desirable. This will also include responsibility for delivering theoretical modules of study across several levels of cohorts.
