Accounts Assistant | Ashby-de-la-Zouch | Temp To Perm | Up To £30,000
Macildowie are working with a growing construction services business based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone looking to join a fast-growing company that has seen significant success since 2020 and now operates from its own premises on Ashby Business Park.
You'll be joining a small, supportive finance team, playing a key role in processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate financial records in line with company procedures.
Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Working Arrangement: Office-based
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately and promptly process high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes
* Match, batch, and code invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
* Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts, resolving discrepancies
* Prepare and process payment runs (BACS)
* Handle supplier queries via phone and email
* Support month-end processes, including reconciliations and accruals
* Post bank transactions and support bank reconciliations
* Assist with ad hoc finance duties as required
Person Specification
Essential:
* Experience in purchase ledger, accounts payable or accounts assistant roles
* Strong data entry and numerical skills with great attention to detail
* Confident with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage)
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Organised and capable of juggling multiple tasks and deadlines
Desirable:
* Experience in a fast-paced finance team
