Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG) is looking for Apprentices to join our thriving Market Operations teams. Our Operations teams work closely with both clients and internal business partners to provide Best in Class service and processing support. This is very much a team environment, and apprentices will learn the skills needed for the role by job shadowing other team members, learning tips and tricks from experienced members of the team, and will be given exposure to a vast range of Citi technologies and learning materials to help you to excel.

We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed….

We’re committed to teaching you the ropes. During the program you will study for the City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Providing Financial Service – Investment operations qualification. Aside from your peer group and manager, you will have a buddy and a dedicated program manager whilst on program plus access to Citi’s online training portal. Side by side job shadowing and coaching with your team combined with the opportunity to work gain experience liaising with Trading/Sales, Middle Office, Legal, Credit and other counterparts in one of the world’s largest investment banks.

Your time here will look something like this….

1. Data Processing - we need you to be able to process data both efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy. That may be executing orders directly in one of our processing systems or taking data from a client email and inputting this into our technology platforms.

2. Client Service – we will give you exposure to clients on a Global scale. Responding to our clients queries and processing needs timely ensures we continue to provide them with a best in class service. This also enables us to build positive, lasting client relationships.

3. Control – everything we do is governed by procedures and controls. This is to keep you, the firm and our clients safe. You will learn how we control payment processing, how we escalate issues and how we work together to reduce risk.

4. Organizational and operational efficiency improvements - nobody likes to repeat the same actions every day and click the same buttons, so our apprentices are encouraged to suggest efficiency improvements to see where tasks can be automated or streamlined to free their time to get involved in exciting projects!

We want to hear from you if….

5. You have an A-Level or equivalent

6. 5 GCSE passes or equivalent with A-C grades in English & Maths

7. Successful applicants for this opportunity will enrol on to the Belfast Met Level 3 Course
