Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our clients engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with expertise in systems engineering and product development. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the engineering team in the execution of projects from conception through to completion.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
* Utilise AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for design and schematics creation.
* Implement programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and develop software using Python, C, and C++ for system automation.
* Conduct root cause analysis and debugging to resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Ensure compliance with GD&T standards throughout the design and fabrication processes.
* Manage system design activities while maintaining a focus on quality and performance.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of engineering systems.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
* Proven experience in construction and systems engineering within an industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation) and product development processes.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and MATLAB.
* Excellent mathematical skills with a solid understanding of mechanical knowledge.
* Experience with fabrication techniques and maintenance practices.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
