Overview
Over two years, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, structured learning and support from mentors. You’ll develop technical and interpersonal skills to succeed and make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities
* Prepare outline and detailed design in accordance with relevant design standards
* Prepare clear and well‑structured design calculations, reports, drawings and other deliverables
* Use BIM‑led design and common structural design software tools
* Support delivery of successful projects to agreed time and cost expectations
* Develop understanding of commercial aspects of project delivery
Qualifications
* Final‑year student or recent graduate with an ICE‑accredited degree in Civil Engineering (or relevant discipline)
* Appreciation and knowledge of civil and structural engineering design principles
* Basic knowledge of software relevant to design in civil and structural engineering
* Advantageous to have competence in Eurocode design standards
* Strong interest in innovation, sustainability and positive societal impact, demonstrated through teamwork and proactive problem‑solving
* Enthusiastic learner dedicated to personal and professional development; willingness to pursue professional qualifications or chartered status
* Visits to sites across the UK; must have a driving licence or work towards obtaining one within the first year
