Operating within a defined area of responsibility, this position ensures that all projects under our MoD Housing Department are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The role demands technical competence, independent decision-making, and clear communication skills to provide expert guidance and effective support to our client and delivery teams. This is a brand new role with scope for growth and development depending on the candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from £500K to £2.5m within the MoD Housing Department.
* Manage Project Managers and project teams, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
* Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and value optimization.
* Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with UK construction laws, regulations, and standards.
* Ensure all projects adhere to Health and Safety policies and Environmental regulations.
* Act as the primary contact for clients to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations. Provide regular progress reports and address issues promptly.
* Oversee supply chain activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Experience required:
* Experience managing large NEC projects.
* Background in managing MoD Housing contracts.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management principles, and UK building regulations.
* Experience managing Health and Safety processes.
* H&S Certification: NEBOSH or equivalent.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
