Job Title: Reliability Engineer
Location: Wimborne, Dorset or Titchfield/Bedhampton
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Reliability Engineer to join a global leader in the aerospace and defence industry, working on innovative mission-critical systems.
You will be part of the Reliability, Maintainability & Safety (RMS) team, embedding Design for Reliability (DfR) practices across new and existing programmes, and ensuring compliance with international aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities
* Perform reliability, maintainability, and safety (RMS) analyses at both component and system level.
* Produce reliability predictions, FMECAs/FMEAs, maintainability analyses, and fault tree analyses (FTA).
* Support DfR activities such as DFMEA, risk management logs, HALT/HASS and robustness modelling.
* Analyse in-service data and support FRACAS processes to drive product improvement.
* Work with design and development teams to ensure products meet certification requirements (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C/DO-254, MIL-HDBK-217).
* Prepare technical reports and liaise with internal stakeholders and customers.
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
* 2+ years’ experience in a technical engineering role.
* Background in aerospace, defence, avionics or other safety-critical sectors preferred.
* Hands-on knowledge of FMEA, FMECAs, FRACAS, reliability block diagrams, fault tree analysis, and reliability modelling.
* Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-HDBK-217).
* Experience with reliability/statistical tools such as Minitab, Weibull or Windchill Quality Solutions.
* Knowledge of fuel, hydraulic or avionics systems would be an advantage.
