Salary: £29,176.00 p/a

About the Role:
Join our vibrant catering team at SaxaVord Spaceport, where even a spaceport marches on its feet! We are seeking a cheerful and enthusiastic Rotational Breakfast Chef to ensure our team, clients, and visitors start their day with a warm welcome and hearty breakfast. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the UK’s only operational Spaceport, contributing to a pioneering environment in space technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen.
2. Lead and inspire the kitchen team, ensuring high standards in food preparation and service.
3. Support menu planning and food sourcing, with a focus on quality and sustainability.
4. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
5. Manage kitchen operations during rotational periods, ensuring consistency and quality.
6. Collaborate with the front-of-house team for seamless service.
7. Maintain inventory and control stock levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
What We're Looking For
1. Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar fast-paced environment.
2. Educated to Level 5 - Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework.
3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
4. Passion for quality food and attention to detail.
5. Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
6. Flexibility to work in a rotational, remote location.
7. Positive attitude and effective communication skills.
8. Experience in remote or specialized locations is a plus.
